What are the 5 Senses? It's when you count.

At Mother's Day Out this week, the kids are learning about the five senses. The teacher asks Leslie, what are the five senses. Leslie answered, "It's when you count." Clearly, all those Census ads are paying off.

Kenna is pretty much fully potty trained, which is awesome. She still refuses to learn to ride a tricycle. Apparently, if it requires effort, it's just not worth it to her.

The girls are loving spring this year, and spend most afternoons outside on the swingset. We are still trying to explain the concept of right-of-way on the swingset, and the lack of understanding has led to a few minor scrapes.

Hiking, Egging, and Hunting- Eggs That Is

We finally got a chance to get back to Mart to visit my (Chad's) mom, or as the girls call her, Gamma Nana. Mom lives on about 90 acres, and this time of year it is beautiful, so we made it a point to go for a walk. We also took our dog Missy. If dogs could talk, she would have screamed "FREEDOM!" We also learned that while Leslie is a total outdoorsy girl, loving to hike and be outside- Kenna is not.

They also got to jump on the trampoline and play on the swingset. Missy, meanwhile, was exhausted to the point that the mere sight of her leash brought fear to her eyes.

In preparation for Easter, we dyed eggs. This was a first, and the girls loved it. We all got involved and made our own, and there was surprisingly little mess.

We went to FBC Mart for church that morning, the girls, Kristin included, got to show off their new dresses.

After church was the main event- the Easter Egg hunt with the Cousins. My Uncle Darrell and cousin Kayla brought her boys over, whom the girls love. First we had them spin around in circles to make it more interesting, then set them out. It was fun, but tedious, as Gamma Nana's yard is huge. Once all the eggs were located (we think), they showed off what they had.

Easter was great, and we had a good time with the extended family. Hope yours was great, too!
